Membership Requirements

We welcome all persons 17 years of age and older who are interested in the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.  We are the civilian volunteer component of the United States Coast Guard.  You must be a U.S. Citizen or National by birth and submit proof of citizenship.  Either a birth certificate or Passport. You will need to fill a Personal Security Investigation (PSI) form and pass the background check.  We encourage interested persons to attend our monthly Flotilla Meetings which are posted on the EVENTS page.  For more information on Auxiliary membership,  contact our Flotilla Commander by clicking here FC

Membership Expectations

What Can Members Expect From The Auxiliary?  Training, new skills, fellowship, public service, and a sense of pride from assisting others.

What type of training and qualification opportunities are provided to help participation in auxiliary programs?  Vessel examiners, air and surface operations, auxiliary specialty courses, radio operator, public affairs, watch stander, education instructor, maritime environmental patrols, navigational aids verifier, member services.  These are just a few of the many opportunities.  Come and see us to learn more!
